Introduction
Marketing become an exciting and challenging profession in to-day's competitive business environment. In the face of intense competition and changing environment business enterprises changing environment business enterprises increasingly demand competent marketing executives. To keep pace with the needs of nation and international organization Department of Marketing R.U. offers extended and excellent facilities for marketing education in Bangladesh. The department, with its highly qualified academic staffs, is committed to develop efficient marketing executives by nurturing a unique culture and team spirit. Over the years since 1981, graduates from the Department of Marketing R.U. have occupied key managerial positions in the international organizations, multinational companies, local conglomerates, small and medium-scale enterprises and various government organization. Hopefully, successful completion of BBA and MBA from the Department of Marketing will make young graduates ready to face the hardship of real life and competent enough to get challenging jobs.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA):
The BBA (Honors) Program in Marketing is of Eight Semesters (Four years). Every semester is of Nineteen weeks of which Fifteen weeks for classes, at least One week break and Three weeks for holding the Semester Final Examination. Full marks in each course unit is 50. Viva-voce Examinations are held at the end of Second Semesters of every class year. Full marks in each Viva-voce Examination is 25.
Master of Business Administration (MBA):
The MBA Program in Marketing is of Two Semesters (One year). Every semester is of Nineteen weeks of which Fifteen weeks for classes, at least One week break and Three weeks for holding the Semester Final Examination. Full marks in each course unit is 50. Viva-voce Examinations are held at the end of Second Semester of the class year. Full marks in each Viva-voce Examination is 25.
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D):
In the Ph.D. program of the Department of Marketing every candidate have to complete a course work of 200 marks in the first year after admission. Total number of courses in the Ph.D. program will be 2. Students have to attend a written examination of these two courses. Full marks in each course will be 100. Pass marks in each course is 45%. A student failing to get minimum pass marks in the written examination may seek readmission after 6 months.
Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.):
In the M. Phil program of the Department of Marketing every candidate have to complete a course work of 200 marks in the first year after admission. Total number of courses in the M. Phil program will be 4. Students have to attend a written examination in these four courses. Full marks in each course will be 50. Pass marks in each course is 45%. A student failing to get minimum pass marks in the written examination may seek readmission after 6 months.
Facility:
Computer Lab The department has a well-decorated computer lab with Internet facility. This Computer Lab has been established with a view to make student knowledgeable about the use of information technology.
Library In addition to the University Central Library, there is a faculty seminar library situated in the 3rd floor of Rabindra Bhaban. Text books and important reading materials are available there for the students and teachers.
Seminar The department arranges seminar on selective topics, invites renowned academicians as guest speakers and discussants.
Student Counseling Teachers of the department always cooperate the students to solve the everyday problems regarding academic preparations through counseling. Such counseling provides students extra knowledge and guidance outside classroom. Counseling also helps to develop sound teacher-student relationship and friendly academic atmosphere in the department.
