The IBS is placed at the eastern side of Rajshahi University campus with entrance at the Binodpur Bazar gate. It has now completed its own a three-storied 15,000 sft administrative building, a 21,000 sft four-storied hostel building (with 20 furnished single and 8 family accommodations, each with attached bath rooms) and a 12,000 sft annex hostel building with 4 Family suites and 24 single (for 12 double-room) suites for both individual and married researchers.

The Institute Building has a spacious library, individual offices for teachers and administrative staff,  a lecture theatre, as well as a number of other facilities. The IBS premise has already acquired reputation as the best complex within the Rajshahi  University campus.
